Phase 1 - Lowell, Chelmsford & Westford

Overview

This section begins in Chelmsford at the Lowell/Chelmsford line, near Cross Point, passes through Chelmsford Center, and ends at Rte. 225 in Westford. This part of the trail covers a stretch of 6.8 miles.

Ribbon Cutting 2009 – Phase 1

The Bruce Freeman Rail Trail opened this August. The Ribbon Cutting ceremony and party were held Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 10 am at Old Town Hall & Town Common, Chelmsford, Massachusetts.
